Brad Pitt Goes Searching For A Lost City

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will move their family to Brazil this summer. Pitt will work on James Gray's film “The Lost City Of Z”. Brad didn't need too much convincing, as he wants to be known as a movie adventurer like Harrison Ford. So the family will be in Brazil in spring for his film. He'll play British Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett, who disappeared with his party in 1925 while searching for the City of Z.

In 1925, British explorer Percy Harrison Fawcett became so obsessed with finding an advanced civilization he thought existed in the Amazon that he left behind civilization and set out into the jungle, never to be heard from again.

Brad Pitt is to produce this new action-adventure movie about the hunt for a lost city in the Amazon. Paramount Pictures has bought David Grann's forthcoming non-fiction book Lost City of Z, which tells the story of Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett.

Various adventurers have attempted to retrace his path over the last 70 years without success. The book “The Lost City of Z”, based on Grann's September 2005 article in the New Yorker, is already published.

After stumbling upon a hidden trove of diaries, acclaimed New Yorker writer David Grann set out to solve “the greatest exploration mystery of the twentieth century”: What happened to the British Explorer Percy Harrison Fawcett and his quest for the lost city of Z?

Book's price: US$27.50  or  $32.00 CAN
